About

Is “No Meals on Wheels” a familiar phrase to your family?  It sure was to mine.  I was constantly saying this to my 3 sons. I have always believed that it is VERY important that a family sit down together for dinner each night.  I was raised this way and in turn, raised our children this way.  It is amazing what you learn from your children when you turn off the TV and sit down together for dinner each night.   Actually, studies have shown that children who eat meals with family are more likely to do better in school, have fewer behavior problems and eat healthier.

My oldest son also pointed out that “No Meals on Wheels” could relate to cutting down on the amount of fast food that you eat.  Home cooked meals are so much better for you and your family.

My name is Cheryl and I live in Riverton, Utah.  I enjoy trying new recipes, revising them to make them as healthy as possible – and hopefully the end result is a great dish that becomes a family favorite.  My recipes come from friends, cookbooks, magazines, online, etc.  I am always looking for new and exciting recipes to try. Even though we strive to eat healthy, there are plenty of treats included in this blog too.

I hope you find some recipes here that your family will enjoy.  I would love to hear how these recipes turn out for you.

ENJOY!!!

Did you ever think that perhaps your blog name could be demeaning to Meals on Wheels? I’m sure that isn’t your intent, but it was my first impression, that somehow you were criticizing Meals on Wheels. They do such great things for so many seniors, and I was kinda surprised. Glad to see that isn’t the case.
